Neuromuscular Reeducation (Wobble Chair)

neuromuscular reeducation

The wobble chair is a form of neuromuscular reeducation.

This adjunctive therapy helps to retrain the pathways in the nervous system to strengthen and stabilize the spine. After some time of doing traction, the doctor may incorporate a head weight which is placed across the patient's forehead. This helps to strengthen the neck muscles while strengthening the muscles of the low back to maintain the adjustment for a longer time.
